On Process: Bottom-up With a bottom up process, you come up with a bunch of interesting little things and then make something more meaningful with them using a type of collage. This seems to be a nice way of creating stuff. Each little component may not have any meaning by itself, you just trust that there is some meaningful relationship between the things which will appear by the end. This method would be analogous to collecting a number of phrases for a character in a play Instead of starting with a conversation as in the inside-out approach. And of course you might have a top-down process to tell you what bottom-up collections of things to create. |
