On Fine Art Fine Art, as far as I'm concerned, is art that you do for it's own sake. To improve your perception as a kind of reflection, maybe; or to change the perception of others. Fine art is art for art's sake as opposed to being for commerce. Folk might buy a painting, but you're not creating it as something for folk to buy. In our culture when entertainment is a powerful as it is and commercial art is so prevalent and of such a high quality, this definition is created - not inherant. |
