Thoughts

"What thoughts?" is something that I like to ask folk a lot. It's a great question for moments when conversation comes to a still spot, because everybody has things that they think about that they don't talk about much. Sometimes they never mention it because it's personal and other times because it just hasn't been publicly recognized as "important" - but it usually is important in some small personal way. That's why you think about it. In those quiet moments in a conversation - folk start reviewing those things. I always learn a lot about folk when they answer - usually prefaced with "it's nothing important, just ...".

The things I have put here seem pretty obvious to me, but maybe they'll be interesting to somebody. I don't know. I'll try it and see why it doesn't work. :)

On Process is just some thoughts on the differences between three types of processes; bottom-up, top-down and inside out. I wanted to write a little about this because so many software engineering books are so dogmatic about one type of process or another and I think that they loose a feeling for any simple common sense about what the trade-offs are.

On Flash is an attempt to organize my thoughts on the tool.

And On Art is an attempt to summarize my thoughts on art with new media.
